Imagine a pizza restaurant on a popular street right before dinner time in Rome.
At 5.30pm, as the restaurant is about to open, the owner puts out a sign with today’s special pizzas and wines…and then he deliberately leaves the door open, filling the air with the scent of garlic, tomato sauce, and melted cheese.
And the people passing by the restaurant can’t help but stop to read the sign…
And so, within 30 minutes, the restaurant is full, and there’s a short line outside with other pizza lovers, patiently waiting for their table.
Now. This is how real persuasion actually works.
Think about it. As potential guests passes by the restaurant, are they forced or tricked to enter the restaurant? No, they’re happy and excited to do it.
Were they “sold to”? Or did the decision to enter the restaurant come from within themselves? It came from within themselves. Right?
All the owner did, was deliberately placing some clues for people who like pizza. “If you like pizza, I welcome you into my restaurant.”
That’s it. That’s how effortless it should be when you apply real persuasion.
(Heck, you might have started thinking about pizza yourself…😀)
